Look at this purse!!

This was just a fun project!! I needed to come up with some ideas for my daughter's birthday party favors. Although I think this is a bit old for her I am going to redo the purse to house candy instead of cards. The cards fit nicely in the purse and what a cute gift this would make. The pattern can be found here on SCS

I used two of the artful INKables stamp sets
Bloomin Beauties: I love the lines on this one and
Basic Salutatuions: there are sayings for almost anything in this set

And.... remember that this month there is 10% off all sets including the NEW ones!!!
just use the code 10%AIJUL and you are good to go.

Other items in this design is vanilla paper from Georgia (wal-mart) butterfly is from Martha Stewart. pop ups used and rhinstones. The flowers were colored with prisim pencils. so what do you think.

Remember to come back tomarrow for the 1st artful INkables color challenge hosted by our one an only Beth Thomas

See you then

Paper: basicgrey: archaic paper pad
Ink: SU chocolate chip and versa fine black onyx
Accessories: ribbon, brads, dimensionals corner punchs from SU

The new American Doll outfit!!!

Well today Ivi and I decided to go the the local doll store. She has the American Girl Doll "Kirsten". She received this doll two years ago for her 5th birthday and is just now getting into the excitement of them. Yesterday we went to the movie and saw "Kit Kittredge An American Girl" the movie was great. So today we decided to go and check out what clothes the local store had. (I say local it is about 40 minutes from our home). Wow the clothes seem to be higher than the ones from the American Girl catalog. So I told Ivi I would sew her some. Well I did not mean today, but she would not let me forget it.

Her birthday is at the end of this month. Her theme for her birthday party is Hannah Montana. Her colors for the birthday is teal and lavender. Yes we match everything!! Anyway so we decided to use some of the bandannas we had to make her doll a matching outfit. So this is what we came up with. I also made the birthday hat and gift bag.

So what do you think?? Ivi thinks we could make an outfit everyday. I told her think how long it took me to do this one. She then said "well then you don't have to make one on the nights you work". She is so good to me!!!

Plant Prints Happy Birthday

Well today is Sunday. The boys got up and decided to go golfing. So Ivi and I stayed home. She is upstairs cutting paper and I just finished this card. I completed it for a featured stamper challenge (Teneale)This is the card I decided to use as inspiration. I used the pouncing chalk technique where you use the versamark and shade chalk over to get the soft look. The stamps I used are from artful INKables. The sets I used are Plant Printsand sentiment used is Basic Salutations.

So here is the card. Let me know what you think. The colors are a bit much but I was thinking summer and hot.

Bloomin Beauties: perfect for the layering technique.

Well after much needed sleep. I am now getting to devote as much time as I want (ya right says my daughter) to these wonderful new stamps from artful INKables. I can't tell you how great they are. they are deeply cut into the rubber that the inked impression is fantastic. I decided to do this card as part of the sketch challenge at SCS, but it is a bit modified. I added the scalloped oval so I will go back and try to do one as instructed. The artful INKables set I used is called Bloomin Beauties. This set is perfect for layering. It has such clean simple lines. So if you love to layer or have wanted to try this technique this set is perfect of you.
