artful INKables challenge and a prize. Don't miss it.

Happy Wednesday Morning to everyone. I have been working my long stretch and I am now in my stamping room. OK here is my card for today's challenge. I hope you like it. I masked the giraffe so that I could stamp the flowers in the background. It kinda looks 3-D like the giraffe is sticking out a bit. My doodling is a minimum I just don't have a steady hand to do that. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Here is what I used:
Stamps: artful INKables: Zany Zoo 1, Paradise Island, Basic Salutatuions
Paper: SU: Whisper white and Basicgrey: two scoops
Ink: SU: close to cocoa, and Versafine: Onyx Black
Accessories: rhinestones from me and my big ideas, prismacolor pincils, punches, ribbon from micheals's stores, stickles, pop dots.

Welcome to another Artuful Inkables Design Team Challenge! Kristin was the hostess this week and her instructions were to make a card 1) using the masking technique and 2) to do some doodling on your card. And....... this week because she is hosting she is offering a prize - Kristin writes: "Anyone who participates in the Artful INKables challenge this week will be eligible for ONE FREE Artful INKables STAMP SET OF THEIR CHOICE!! Dont be nervous though...this is NOT a talent contest! " check it out here - but remember to come back to see my card!!

We'd love to have you join in on this techniques challenge!

Make a card using the masking technique and do some doodling on it - then load your card on your SCS gallery and use the key word ARTINK so we can all check out what you create!!

If you don't have an SCS gallery then just link your card to the Artful Inkables blog in a comment here. We're excited to see what you come up with!

Give Me Coffee!!!

Yes that is what I said. Rick and I had a discussion on who gets the last cup of coffee this morning and well I won. How you ask I said just that Give me Coffee if you don't want to get hurt. We were kidding of course, but I thought it was funny when I came down to my work room and this was the Limited supply challenge over at SCS. So I thought this little monkey from artful INKables, "Zany Zoo 1" would be a perfect card to give him when again he thinks he can have the last cup of coffee. Now you must understand he has a fresh pot waiting for him when he gets to work. So I am not taking anything away from him!!! So let me know what you think of my card.

Here is what I used:

Stamps: artful INKables: Zany Zoo 1
Paper: SU: Basic Black, Whisper White, Others unknown
Ink: SU: Pumpkin Pie, and Versafine: Onyx Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Halloween from micheals, rhinestones from me and my big ideas, flowers are prima, dicuts are from sizzix, prismacolor pencils and pop dots

Nope not for me!!!

Nope not for me. Thanks Lynn for the Try a New Technique challenge but I just could not master it. I tried. I really don't like working with craft ink at all either. So anyway here is my attempt. Thanks again for a great challenge It really did make me think out side of the box.

The stamping on the black paper with craft ink... no
The coloring and it not showing up till later on black paper... no
Finding out something you don't like to do ... Priceless

I just love this little bunny from Pink Poison and hate that this card just not do it justice. I will use it again and make her sweet and cute.

Here is what I used today:

Stamps: Pink Poison: LUCKY BUNNIES STAMP SET
Paper: SU: Basic Black and DP unknown
Ink: SU: Craft white, and Versafine: Onyx Black
Accessories: ribbon from offray, rhinestones form me and my big ideas, stickles, prismacolor pencils, pop dots
