Its that kind of day.

Ok well the Direct TV guy is here and Rick is trying to help him (a little too much, he cut a cable he was not supposed to.) So I am trying to stay out of the way and the next best thing for me to do is go and make a card.

Wow this was fun. No restraints just what ever was on my table, and I have to tell you there is allot of scraps!!! My DD is upset because she usually gets the scraps and I just have not cleaned off the table yet. So here is what I came up with. what do you think? Oh and the green thing in the left corner, it's a leaf. Then wind blew just as I was taking the picture and of course this was the one that turned out the best.

Thanks for looking.

About Artful INKables Challenges:

Every other week Kristin and her DT will post a challenge with rotating themes onto the store blog. We would be so pleased to have you play along! If you should decide to join us, please, include ARTINK (all capitals) in the keywords when you upload on SCS. By having consistent keywords, we will be sure not to miss anyone's wonderful creations! As an alternative, feel free to add a link to your creation in the comments section of this post. All the design team members (aka INK girls) will be participating in these challenges. Please take a minute, if you have the time, to see what they have created. You can also link your card in the comments of any INK girl's challenge post.

We would love to see all of you join in the fun. This is NOT a contest. No pressure. No deadlines. The challenges are simply for creative inspiration and FUN only!!! So this is your official invitation to get INKy with us!!!

OMG, this is so funny!!!

A friend of mine sent me this in an e-mail. I am still laughing. What do you think?

Subject: Scripture Lesson

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.

Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10."

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock."

Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

hmmm, Nothing

Nothing, that is the sentiment on this one. Have you ever loved a challenge all the aspects of it and put them together and then really don't like it. Well this is me and this card. I tried to stamp the sentiment on the bottom and it looked awful so I covered it up with ribbon. So hence no sentiment. I loved the baby wipe technique, although I need practice. I loved the colors and layout, just not together.

Well Ivi and myself are off to find journey to the middle of the earth in 3D. Did you know that all are not shown in 3D. Anyway have a wonderful day.

Here is what I used in this card

Stamps: Hero Arts, cleardesign Designer Butterfulys
Paper: SU whisper white, Bravo Burgundy, Creamy Carmel
Ink: SU Creamy Carmel and Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: circles are made from nestabilites, ovals are from fiskars punchs, ribbon from Offray, Brads from brides, Gartner studios, and butterfly punch is Martha Stewart.

Perfect for a birthday card for a friend who is turning 60 today. I also loved the sketch challenge at SCS this week and of course had to use that as well. So this is what I came up with. What do you think?

It's not Pink!!!

This was fun to make. I saw some of this type popping up on this challenge over at SCS and had to go and try it. Not sure I did it correct, but I like the way it turned out, and guess what? It is not pink!!

I am trying to stay away from DH right now. He is talking with our dish provider and it has been a mess. I will up date you all on that later. All I have to say is when you have it installed make sure it is all in good shape and ask the right questions before you get too far out.

Anyway here is what I used on this card

Paper: SU: So Saffron, Creamy Carmal, K&Comapny: classic K Bailey Mat Pad

I should be folding laundry but it stunts my creativity.

Paper: SU whisper white, Basicgrey: Sugared paper pad collection

Yet another artful INKables card. I just love these stamps!

Well I made this card just for fun tonight. If you are like me I have a ton of paper pads around and well, never ever use them. So I challenged my self to make something out of the first one I touched. Well of course it was pink. It was fun though, I again used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. (someone needs to take that thing away from me). The paper is from DCWV: The Blossoms & Butterflies Stack. Great paper just horded it. So this is what I came up with. what do you think.

Here is what I used
Stamps: artful INKables: Plant Prints and Basic Salutations
Paper: solid paper unknown form Hobby Lobby, DP is from DCWV: The Blossoms & Butterflies Stack
Ink: SU: Pink Passion and Pretty in PInk
Accessories: Punches from Martha Stewart and SU, rhinstones form icons, ribbon form offray, pop dots.

Got Grid?? OMG what was I thinking!

Well I was not sure I was going to get to this challenge this week. It made me really think of where I wanted to put the grid. So I went simple, I used the main card stock as my grid and then just punched away and I mean punched away. I used several marvy scallop circle punches and SU tag punches and the bird is Martha Stewart punch. Why did I do pink and black. I don't know!! I started out with pastel pink and yellow. Shows you art has a mind of its own. Here is what I used

Stamps: artful INKables: Basic Salutations and Presed Petals
Paper: SU: Basic Black and Pixie Pink
Ink: SU Basic black, Ruby Red and Pixie Pink
Accessories: Punches: marvy (circle scallops), SU (tags) and Martha stewart (bird), rhinestones by icons, ribbon by offray, pop dots

You can find the challenge Here TLC177

Let me know what you think.

Ways to use it: Spice it up!

Spice it up?? WHAT, I have to put spice on my cards now. Well it turned out ok. In fact I love this card. The new set from artful INKables: Sunburst Dandies worked great with the cilantro leaves. Yes that is real cilantro leaves on this card. One never knows the next new thing to paper craft with. On the dandelion the center of the flowers is tiny micro beads. Were they fun to work with or what. After trying to chase those little things with my fat fingers I decided to use tweezers, what a novel idea. I love the way this card turned out, the colors are so soft and pretty with the black just enough accent. Here is what I used.

Stamps: artful INKables: Sunburst Dandies and Basic Salutations
Paper: SU vanilla and basic black, K&Company: Classic K Designer Mat Pad
Ink: SU: Rose Red and Always Artichoke
Accessories: Tacky Adhesive for the Micro beads by Jewelry essentials, Hat pin with beads by Bead Treasures, ribbon by offray, pearl brads by Brides; Gartner Studios, cilantro leave by McCormic.

Thanks for looking. The Ways to use it challenge can be found here WT175

It is so hot here I thought I would pull out the ol Only Orange to get my juices running. I really love using the new stamps from artful INKables. The lines are so clean it is so easy to cut and layer them. Here is what I used on this card

Ink: SU: close to cocoa

Look at this purse!!

This was just a fun project!! I needed to come up with some ideas for my daughter's birthday party favors. Although I think this is a bit old for her I am going to redo the purse to house candy instead of cards. The cards fit nicely in the purse and what a cute gift this would make. The pattern can be found here on SCS

I used two of the artful INKables stamp sets
Bloomin Beauties: I love the lines on this one and
Basic Salutatuions: there are sayings for almost anything in this set

And.... remember that this month there is 10% off all sets including the NEW ones!!!
just use the code 10%AIJUL and you are good to go.

Other items in this design is vanilla paper from Georgia (wal-mart) butterfly is from Martha Stewart. pop ups used and rhinstones. The flowers were colored with prisim pencils. so what do you think.

Remember to come back tomarrow for the 1st artful INkables color challenge hosted by our one an only Beth Thomas
